Starting Teachable Moments

I have been an elementary teacher for 7 years. I have spent nearly every minute of my free time trying to find ways that I can increase my understanding of student learning. I also want to find ways that will (of course) make my job a little easier. While looking all over the web, in magazines, reading books and talking with fellow teachers, I have decided to create this blog to gather all my thoughts and put a together a place for me and others to share ideas and creative sites that will help all students be successful.

Here I will attempt to gather information on an assortment of topics. Such as:

  • Teaching strategies
  • Materials to aid in teaching required content
  • Classroom management tools
  • Organizational options
  • Creating a Classroom website
  • Finding Great educator resources
  • and hopefully much more...
I am looking forward to having a place to store all my thoughts and ideas. I hope this will end up being a great resource for you as well.

See you on the web...

Jenny

Jenny, What a great idea for a blog. I will check it often to read your thoughts and gain ideas to help in my teaching techniques also. Good Luck

Jenny, a wonderful idea. Although I cannot give much advice to teaching, I can tell you that elementary school were the best years of my life. my teachers were wonderful, and caring- like you.
Good luck with your blog.
